As a third-generation banker, Bryan began his career in 1996 as a credit analyst with First of America Bank, a Chicago regional bank. Two years later, he joined Bridgeview Bank Group as a commercial loan officer. During his 22-year tenure at the institution, Bryan was involved in growing the bank’s assets from $90 million to $1.5 billion, and became the Chief Lending Officer as well as a member of the Executive Management Committee. In this role, he was responsible for planning and executing corporate strategy, overseeing loan growth, portfolio management, and distressed asset management.

In 2018, Bryan was tasked with overseeing the due diligence related to Bridgeview Bank’s sale to First Midwest Bank, which closed in May of 2019. He remained with First Midwest as a Commercial Banking team lead before leaving to form Alecko Lending in June of 2021.
